There is a moment before your first solo trip.
You want to go. You’ve wanted to go for years.
But there are questions you haven’t asked anyone yet.
Some feel too small. Some feel too silly.
Some you don’t even know how to say out loud.
Jugni was built for that moment.
A lot of women who land on this page have been quietly following women-only travel accounts for months — saving reels, checking trip stories, opening itinerary links late at night and then closing them again. Wondering if this will finally be the year they say yes to themselves. If that is you, you are not alone. And you are not as far from going as you think.
A Jugni original story
Six New Years.
One Group. One Family.
This is Kalpana Vincent. She has spent her last six New Years with Jugni — and will spend her seventh on New Year’s Eve 2026. Her story is not just about travel. It is about what happens when you finally make that call.
Real Story · Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai, Thailand · New Year 2024–25

South India · 7 New Years with Jugni · Still counting
Kalpana was ready to book. She had done her research, made her decision, and had her card ready. But Nitesh still asked her to get on a call first. Not to sell her anything. Not to check her eligibility. Just to talk — and let her ask anything she had been holding back.
Because the questions people type in a chat are rarely the questions they actually have. The real ones come out when there is a voice on the other end. And that voice, at Jugni, has always been Nitesh or Tamanna — the founders themselves.
“She was a South Indian woman who didn’t speak much Hindi. Most group leaders would have made that awkward. Nitesh made it easy — in the first minute of the call.”
The moment that changed everything
Your Hindi is bad. My English is worse than that.
Kalpana got on the call unsure of herself. She worried her Hindi might create distance in an all-India group. It was a real concern — the kind women rarely say out loud, because it feels too small to matter.
Nitesh heard it in the first minute. And instead of reassuring her professionally, he made a joke at his own expense. One line. Five words. And suddenly she wasn’t a stranger calling a travel company. She was talking to someone who had already made her feel at home.
That is the Jugni difference. No enquiry — WhatsApp or call — reaches a team member without passing through Nitesh or Tamanna first. Every woman who has ever booked has spoken to a founder.
“Your Hindi is bad — but my English is worse than that.” That one line turned a business call into a friendship. The rest, as they say, is seven New Years of history.

In her own words
How a solo trip for women works at Jugni
You Arrive Alone.
You Leave With People You’ll Travel With Again.
A Jugni solo trip for women is not about travelling alone. It is about travelling in a group of women who are all, technically, travelling alone — and finding that this is the best version of both.
01
You choose a trip. Browse by destination, duration or season. Domestic or international. Weekend or long-haul. Every trip is 100% women-only — always.
02
You get on a call. With Nitesh or Tamanna directly. Not a team member. Not a chatbot. The founders. You ask every question you’ve been holding back — even the ones that feel too silly.
03
You book. Full transparency on cost. No hidden charges. Accommodation included, transport within the trip included. Jugni handles everything from the joining point onward.
04
You meet your group. 10–14 women at the starting point. By Day 2, you won’t feel like strangers. Jugni keeps groups small deliberately — so every woman is seen.
05
You come home changed. Not because of the destination. Because of what it feels like to say yes — and find out the world was waiting to welcome you.
The questions no one says out loud
What You’re Really Wondering
Before You Book
Jugni has had thousands of calls. These are the real questions — the ones women feel embarrassed to type in a chat but ask freely once they’re on a call with Nitesh or Tamanna.
I have motion sickness. Will this be a problem?
Tell us before the trip. Jugni plans seating, meal timing and break stops around it. You are not the first to ask — and you won’t be the last. Khushboo P found out firsthand:
I’m very particular about cleanliness. Is that okay?
Yes. Hotels are personally vetted. Roommate matching takes preferences into account. You don’t have to apologise for knowing what you need.
I don’t speak Hindi. Will I feel left out?
No. Jugni groups include women from across India and the world. What binds the group has nothing to do with language — and everything to do with shared courage.
I’m an introvert. Will I be forced to socialise?
Never. Jugni trips have free time built in. You participate as much as you choose. Many introverts have called Jugni the first place they felt socially comfortable on a trip.
I’m much older than 30. Will I fit in?
Jugni has women from 22 to 62 on the same trip. Age has never been a barrier — and the mix is often what makes the group remarkable.
What if I have to cancel last minute?
Jugni has a clear, fair cancellation policy with no hidden penalties. Ask on the call — Tamanna will walk you through exactly what applies to your booking.
Why this matters
Every Query Lands on Nitesh’s or Tamanna’s Phone. Every Single One.
At most travel companies, your enquiry goes to a call centre. At Jugni, it doesn’t. Nitesh Chauhan (founder, 11 years of running women-only trips) and Tamanna (who has been with Jugni since 2022 and has personally handled thousands of bookings) are the two people every woman speaks to before she books.
This is not scalable. It is also not something Jugni is willing to change. Because the comfort of that first conversation is the entire point. When you get on a call and feel like you already know them — that feeling is what makes the solo trip possible for women who never thought they’d do it.

Common questions
Before You Book —
Answers to What You’re Thinking
Do I have to come with a friend or a group?
No. Most Jugni women travel alone. You meet your group at the starting point — and by Day 2 they rarely feel like strangers. Roommates are matched by Jugni so you are not navigating that awkwardness alone.
What does the trip cost include?
Accommodation (double occupancy), transport within the trip, guided experiences and all planned activities. Flights to the joining point are separate — but Jugni helps you book the right connection. No hidden costs, ever.
Do I have to come to Delhi first? I’m based in Mumbai / Chennai / Bangalore.
No. Jugni is Delhi-based, but you never have to come to Delhi. The joining point is the trip’s starting city — and Jugni picks the most practical one for each destination. Bhutan trip: you fly directly to Bagdogra. Ladakh trip: you fly directly to Leh. Meghalaya: Guwahati. Jugni tells you exactly where and when to arrive, and helps you find the best flight connection from your city. You just have to get to the right airport — Jugni handles everything from there.
How do I know the group will be safe?
Every Jugni traveller is verified — this is a women-only space and has been since 2014. Every hotel, guide and ground partner is personally vetted by Nitesh. Safety is not a feature at Jugni. It is the foundation.
I’ve never travelled alone before. Is Jugni the right first step?
Yes — and this is exactly who Jugni was built for. Most women on Jugni trips have never travelled solo before. The group format means you are never truly alone, and the pre-trip call means you know at least two people (Nitesh and Tamanna) before you even arrive.
Can my family speak to someone before I book?
Yes. Nitesh has spoken to mothers, fathers and husbands before bookings — to answer their questions directly. This happens more often than you’d expect, and it is never treated as an inconvenience.

Why we ask for your details
“We aren’t asking for your email or phone to spam you — we are asking to ensure this space remains 100% for women only.”
Every woman who joins Jugni is verified. This is not a policy — it is a promise we have kept for 11 years and 5,000+ women. Your details stay with us. Always.

The call that changes
everything takes 15 minutes.
Kalpana made that call seven years ago. She is still travelling with Jugni every New Year. Your call starts the same way — with a question you’ve been holding back, and someone on the other end who genuinely wants to hear it.
🧜♀️ Hey wanderer, you’ve just found your kind of magic.
