🌸 IN SEASON

Cherry Blossom Season in Japan

Early April is sakura time. Our Tokyo day includes Yoyogi Park and the Meguro River, two of the city’s best-loved blossom spots, where locals spread out picnics under the trees.
Nature sets the bloom date. We make sure you’re there for the possibility.

Why Join a Women Only Group Tour to Japan?

Japan is easy to love but tricky to navigate alone: station exits, train passes, luggage and menus you can’t read. We travel with an English-speaking guide and a private coach, stay in 4-star hotels, and a Jugni trip leader handles the details.
Come solo or with a friend. Many travellers arrive as strangers and leave as friends. To read more about the country, visit Japan’s official travel guide.
Temples. Neon. Sakura. Shinkansen. 🇯🇵

Itinerary

  • Arrive in Osaka

    Osaka

Land at Kansai Airport, where our coach will be waiting to take you to the hotel in Osaka. Check in (from 3 pm), drop your bags and let it sink in: Konnichiwa Japan has officially begun. 🇯🇵

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Land. Bow a little. Look around. We’re in Japan.

The rest of the day is deliberately easy. Freshen up, take a walk around the neighbourhood, try something from a convenience store (trust us, it’s a Japanese experience on its own) or simply recover from the journey.

    💡 WHY TODAY IS EASY

Because tomorrow Japan starts showing off. Today, you just need to arrive properly.

    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Holiday Inn & Suites Shin Osaka (4★) or similar, Osaka

  • World Heritage at Nara Deer Park

After breakfast we head to Nara, where hundreds of friendly deer roam free in Nara Deer Park and the giant Buddha waits inside Todai-ji Temple, one of the largest wooden buildings in the world.

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Bow to a deer. Get bowed back to. Repeat.

Back in Osaka, we stop for photos at Osaka Castle before free time in Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori, Osaka’s glowing food and shopping district. Lunch and dinner are on your own, and this is the city to do it in: takoyaki, okonomiyaki and whatever smells best.

    💡 TIP FOR TODAY

Nara’s deer bow when you bow to them, but they also know exactly where you keep the deer crackers. Hold them up high.

    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Holiday Inn & Suites Shin Osaka (4★) or similar, Osaka

  • Tea ceremony

After breakfast we check out of our Osaka hotel. Today is Kyoto, Japan’s old capital. We start at Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion shining over its pond, then walk through the tall, whispering Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Slow down. Sip slowly. Kyoto doesn’t rush.

In the afternoon we join a traditional tea ceremony in the Gion district, where every movement has meaning and the matcha is whisked just for you. Lunch and dinner are on your own, then we check in to our hotel in Kyoto.

    💡 WHY KYOTO MATTERS

This is the Japan of temples, gardens and lanterns. A day here balances out the neon still to come.

    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo (4★) or similar, Kyoto

  • Japanese Bullet Train and Hakone Sightseeing

We check out after breakfast and board the Shinkansen, Japan’s famous bullet train, for the journey from Kyoto towards Hakone, the mountain and hot-spring region near Mount Fuji.

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Board on time. Blink. You’re there.

After lunch at an Indian restaurant (on your own), we sail across Lake Ashi on the pirate-ship cruise, then ride the ropeway up to Owakudani, a volcanic valley where the ground literally steams. Tonight we stay near Fuji in Mishima.

    💡 TIP FOR TODAY

Try a black egg at Owakudani. They’re boiled in the volcanic springs, and legend says each one adds seven years to your life.

    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Fujisan Mishima Tokyu Hotel (4★) or similar, Mishima (near Mt Fuji)

  • Mt Fuji Viewing

After breakfast we check out and visit Oshino Hakkai, a village of crystal-clear spring ponds fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji. On a clear day, Fuji-san stands right behind it.

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Look for Fuji. Fill the shopping bag. Head for the big city.

Next it’s Gotemba Premium Outlets for some shopping, then the coach takes us into Tokyo. Lunch and dinner are on your own, and we check into our Tokyo Bay hotel for the next three nights.

    💡 GOOD TO KNOW

Fuji is famously shy and often hides in cloud. If she shows up, consider it a gift.

    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay (4★) or similar, Tokyo

  • Tokyo Tour

A full day in Tokyo. We start with a photo stop at Tokyo Skytree, then walk through Senso-ji Temple and the snack-and-souvenir stalls of Nakamise Street in Asakusa.

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Temples in the morning. Neon by night. Sakura in between.

Then it’s Akihabara for electronics and anime, followed by Yoyogi Park and the Meguro River, two of Tokyo’s favourite places to see the cherry blossoms in early April. We finish with free time for shopping in Shinjuku. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

    💡 WHY TODAY IS FULL

Tokyo is huge, and this is the day we see as much of it as we can. Tomorrow is all yours.

    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay (4★) or similar, Tokyo

  • Free Day

Today is completely free, with no coach and no schedule. Sleep in, go back to the place you loved yesterday or explore a new corner of Tokyo at your own pace.

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Your city. Your pace. Your Tokyo.

Maybe Harajuku and Shibuya Crossing, a museum, a sushi breakfast, more sakura or a day trip of your own. Your Jugni trip leader is happy to help with ideas and directions.

    💡 WHY A FREE DAY

The best travel memories often come from the hours nobody planned. We leave room for yours.

    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay (4★) or similar, Tokyo
The hotel is in Shin-Urayasu, about 30–45 minutes by train from central Tokyo, so plan your day out with travel time in mind.

  • Transfer to Tokyo Airport

After breakfast we check out and head to the airport for our flights home, bags full of souvenirs and phones full of cherry blossoms.

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Pack. Hug. Promise to come back.

Strangers on Day 1, travel sisters by Day 8. Konnichiwa Japan ends here, but the group chat definitely doesn’t.

    💡 UNTIL NEXT TIME

Sayonara means goodbye, but in Japan it’s often said with the hope of meeting again.

    ✈️ DEPARTURE

Check-out after breakfast, then a group transfer to Tokyo airport for flights home.

For your understanding, all the rest of the inclusions and exclusions are mentioned explicitly in the itinerary.
  • What type of accommodations can we expect to stay in?
  • We put a lot of effort into handpicking our accommodations, either conveniently located 4-star hotels or cosy boutique stays. In more rural or remote areas, we love arranging authentic regional homestays to immerse you in the local experience. Just remember that some amenities may not be available at these homestays because of their remote locations.
  • Can we arrange a single occupancy room?
  • As a standard practice, we provide twin-sharing accommodation, allowing solo travellers to connect with the group. However, we can arrange for single occupancy upon special request and an additional charge.
