Overview

JUGNI TRAVEL PRESENTS
Kashmir Tulip Festival 🌷
A Himalayan Spring, In Full Bloom
Kashmir in tulip season is proof paradise doesn’t need embellishing.
This is a women-only journey through a valley where houseboats drift across Dal Lake, saffron fields stretch to the horizon, and an entire garden turns into a wall of colour for a few short weeks each year.
We explore Kashmir with just two bases — Srinagar and Gulmarg — giving us the freedom to experience the valley without packing our bags every morning.

So, What Does Kashmir Tulip Festival Look Like?

🌷

Tulip fields stretched into rows of colour beneath snow-capped mountains.

🛶

Dal Lake — Shikara rides and houseboat evenings as the sun goes down.

🏔️

Gulmarg — alpine meadows and a gondola ride into the Himalayas.

🕌

Mughal Gardens, terraced centuries ago for queens, still just as grand.

🧣

And in the markets, Pashmina and saffron to bring a little Kashmir home.

🌷 THE HEADLINE MOMENT
Welcome to Tulip Country.
April is the only window each year when Asia’s largest tulip garden is in full bloom — rows of colour under snow-capped mountains, visible for just a few short weeks.
We track the bloom, watch the forecast and time the trip as close to peak colour as Kashmir will allow.
Nature decides the colour. We make sure you’re there to see it.

💡 WHY SRINAGAR & GULMARG?
Kashmir is not a country where we want you checking out of a hotel every single day.
We use Srinagar and Gulmarg as our bases and explore outward — less packing, fewer hotel changes and more time actually inside the experience.

KASHMIR TULIP FESTIVAL 🌷
Tulips. Dal Lake. Saffron. Snow.
Six days in a valley where spring arrives in colour first, and everywhere else second.
And a little Kashmir magic of its own.

Itinerary

  • Arrival in Srinagar

    Shikara ride

Land in Srinagar, settle into our base for the next few days, and ease into the city with a Shikara ride on Dal Lake as the sun goes down. The evening ends with a group dinner — first introductions, first stories. 🛶

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Land. Glide across Dal Lake. Meet your Kashmir family.

Flight timings are coordinated with the team in advance, so your airport transfer is ready the moment you land.

    💡 WHY TODAY IS GENTLE

Because a Shikara ride at sunset is the softest possible introduction to Kashmir — no rush, just water, light and the Himalayas in the distance.
    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Ramada Incore Rajbagh, Srinagar (or similar)

  • Gulmarg

We drive up to Gulmarg, the “meadow of flowers,” for walks through alpine meadows with the Himalayas as a backdrop. St. Mary’s Church and the Gulmarg Golf Course are optional stops, weather permitting. 🏔️

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Mountain air, meadow walks, and views that don’t need a filter.

Gulmarg’s weather can shift quickly, so today’s plan stays flexible — the mountains set the pace, not the itinerary.

💡 WHY TODAY IS A CHANGE OF SCENE

Because Gulmarg’s altitude and meadows are a different Kashmir entirely — we leave the lake behind for the mountains before heading back down tomorrow.
    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

    Hilltop Gulmarg (or similar)

  • Gandola Ride

An early Gulmarg Gondola ride lifts us into the Himalayas for views you’ll be talking about for years. Optional paid skiing is available before we drive back to Srinagar for a Wazwan feast. 🚠

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Above the clouds this morning, feasting on Wazwan by night.

The gondola is one of the highest cable cars in the world — we go early, before the lines build up and the light is at its best.

💡 WHY TODAY IS THE BIG MOMENT

Because the gondola is Gulmarg’s signature experience — and ending the day with a traditional Wazwan meal makes the comedown just as memorable.
    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Ramada Incore Rajbagh, Srinagar (or similar)

  • Tulip Gardens & Markets

The day Kashmir shows off its colour — the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden (bloom permitting), the Mughal Gardens, and local markets for handicrafts and Pashmina shawls. 🌷

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

This is the day the whole trip is named after.

Tulip bloom timing is weather-dependent each year, but the Mughal Gardens and markets make today beautiful regardless.

💡 WHY TODAY IS THE HEADLINE

Because this is literally the Kashmir Tulip Festival — we build the whole trip around catching the gardens at their most colourful.
    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Ramada Incore Rajbagh, Srinagar (or similar)

  • Meadows and Tunnels

We drive past the Sind River and through the Z-Morh Tunnel to the meadows of Sonamarg — “the meadow of gold.” An optional pony ride towards Thajiwas Glacier is available before we head back to Srinagar in the evening. 🐎

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Glacier views, golden meadows, one last mountain escape.

It’s a full day out and back, so we return to Srinagar in the evening — tired, happy, and ready to pack.

💡 WHY TODAY IS THE LAST ADVENTURE

Because Sonamarg’s glacier views are worth the drive — and it’s the perfect last big day before tomorrow’s quieter departure.
    🏨 TONIGHT’S STAY

Ramada Incore Rajbagh, Srinagar (or similar)

  • Bid Adieu

Breakfast, then a group transfer to Srinagar Airport. The suitcases are heavier with Pashmina and saffron, but the real souvenirs are the tulip fields and the women who shared this journey. ✈️

    ✨ TODAY’S MOOD

Goodbye, Kashmir. See you in another bloom season.

Six days, one unforgettable colour palette — thank you for trusting us with this journey.

  • What are solo travel groups?
  • Solo travel groups comprise solo adventurers looking to explore a destination together. They offer a safety net and take the stress out of planning the trip and finding a place to stay.
  • What is the typical group size?
  • We keep our group sizes deliberately small, typically comprising 12-14 travellers, allowing us to deliver personalised and attentive service to each of our solo women travellers. Our groups may expand to 18-20 travellers in destinations with longstanding expertise.
  • Is there any age bar?
  • Age is no barrier to joining our adventurous Jugni family. Whether you're 22 or 60, your spirit is all that matters. Come and explore with us!
  • I've never travelled alone, and I'm feeling a little anxious. Will I be able to do it?
  • Feeling nervous before your trip is normal as a first-time solo woman traveller. But we are here to calm your nerves and assure you this will be a truly transformative experience where you'll build lifelong friendships.
  • How do we ensure safety and security for our solo women travellers?
  • As a company, we deeply understand the importance of safety for female travellers. That's why we take every possible measure to ensure our trips offer a safe and secure experience. We personally conduct background checks on every agent involved and visit each hotel to ensure your peace of mind.
  • How are the group dynamics on trips?
  • Our travellers often journey alone, although some come with female friends. Our accommodations are based on double occupancy unless otherwise requested, and we assign roommates at random to help solo travellers start forming connections from the beginning.
  • Are visa fees and flights inclusive?
  • Due to the diverse origins of our travellers, it is not feasible for us to include flights and visas. Nevertheless, we offer complete assistance with flight bookings and visa forms at no additional cost. For your understanding, all the rest of the inclusions and exclusions are mentioned explicitly in the itinerary.
  • What type of accommodations can we expect to stay in?
  • We put a lot of effort into handpicking our accommodations, either conveniently located 4-star hotels or cosy boutique stays. In more rural or remote areas, we love arranging authentic regional homestays to immerse you in the local experience. Just remember that some amenities may not be available at these homestays because of their remote locations.
  • Can we arrange a single occupancy room?
  • As a standard practice, we provide twin-sharing accommodation, allowing solo travellers to connect with the group. However, we can arrange for single occupancy upon special request and an additional charge.
  • Is it okay if I bring my child with me?
  • We welcome children over 12 years on our trips, and their trip cost equals that of adult travellers. The final decision is made after careful consideration, including location and trip type.
  • Can I trust Jugni as a women-only travel company?
  • For nearly a decade, Jugni has been a long-standing champion of solo women's travel and believes in empowering them to explore the world.
