About this page

A Directory, Not a Ranking

This page is a directory of women-only travel communities operating in India. It documents who runs each one, when it started, and what kind of trips it organises — it does not rank or recommend one over another. The order below carries no meaning.

This is not a complete list of every women-only travel company in India; it is a working list of the ones we have been able to verify. New communities are added once their details can be confirmed, and existing entries are corrected as soon as we learn something has changed. If you run a women-only travel community that isn’t listed, or you’ve spotted something out of date, corrections are welcome — see the disclosure below for how to reach us. For a recommendation rather than a listing, our comparison page takes a point of view; this page deliberately does not.

How This Directory Is Maintained

01 What “Active” means. A community is marked Active when its website or social channels show recent trip activity or communication. It does not measure size, quality, or trustworthiness.
02 How entries are included. We look for a publicly verifiable founder, founding year, or operating history before adding a community to this page. Entries without at least one verifiable detail are held back until we can confirm them.
03 When details can’t be verified. Where a fact — a headquarters, a group size, a founder’s name — can’t be confirmed from a primary or reliable source, the card says so directly rather than guessing.
04 Listing is not endorsement. Appearing on this page means a community exists and meets the inclusion criteria above. It is not a review, a rating, or a recommendation.

Who publishes this page
Jugni Travel maintains this directory, and Jugni is also one of the communities listed on it. Jugni’s entry uses the same format, fields, and level of scrutiny as every other listing. Because Jugni both publishes and appears in this directory, readers should not treat this page as an independent third-party review — its purpose is documentation, not recommendation. Corrections, updates, or new-listing requests can be sent via the contact details on our About page.

Questions Women Ask
Before They Book

Eleven years of women asking the same honest questions. Here are the real answers.

“`
Jugni’s women come from all walks of life — IT professionals, teachers, homemakers, entrepreneurs, doctors, artists and everything in between. From cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. What connects them is not their background but their desire: to travel safely, meet like-minded women, and experience something real. Many are first-time solo travellers. Many are introverts. Many have been waiting for years for the right group. They are not a type — they are every kind of woman who has ever thought “I wish I could just go.”
Three reasons. First, every hotel, guide and transport partner is personally vetted — not sourced from the cheapest available option. Second, group sizes are deliberately kept small so every woman gets flexibility and comfort — not a mass tourism experience. Third, the safety infrastructure — verified women-only groups, trusted local contacts, round-the-clock support — comes at a cost that budget operators skip. You are not paying for a tour. You are paying for a curated, safe experience that a mixed or budget group simply cannot offer.
The majority of Jugni travellers come alone — without knowing a single person in the group. This is the most common way women join Jugni. They show up on Day 1 as a solo traveller joining strangers. That is entirely by design. Jugni trips are built for women travelling solo — the group structure, the rooming, everything is set up so a woman arriving alone never feels alone for long. Some women do come with a friend or colleague, and that is equally welcome.
Typically between 25 and 55, with a strong presence of women in their 30s and 40s. Jugni has no upper age limit — women in their 50s and 60s travel regularly, and the oldest Jugni traveller has been in her late 60s. The youngest tend to be in their early 20s on their first solo trip. Age does not determine fit — curiosity and openness do. Jugni itineraries are balanced so women across age groups travel comfortably together.
Typically between 8 and 16 women per trip. Deliberately small. Small groups mean every woman is known by name, not lost in a crowd. Flexible decisions, genuine bonding, a travel experience that feels personal rather than packaged. Unlike large group tours with 30 to 50 participants, Jugni’s smaller groups allow the kind of closeness where strangers become friends within the first day — and stay in touch for years after.
